 THE FIREPLACE
The newest addition to Lake In Wood is the Fireplace, a beautifully constructed stone pavilion that overlooks the lake. It recreates the look of a "Swiss chalet", with its pillared construction and six-sided roof. The magnificent stone fireplace is complemented by the hand-crafted "LAKE-IN-WOOD" sign and the one-of-a-kind chandeliers, made of hollowed-out tree trunks! Come sit and relax by the fire while you enjoy an unparalleled lakeside view! Or, plan your next event here at the Fireplace.  COME SEE OUR BRAND NEW TOTEM POLES
A local master-craftsman has carved TWO NEW absolutely beautiful totem poles for Lake In Wood. One is of a magnificent angel, and the other of a huge "green" frog with a gnome peaking from the lower part of the tree trunk.
These monumental sculptures are carved from large trees. Be sure to ALSO check out the lighthouse, carved and painted, with an actual beacon that glows in the dark. You will find it near the "SHIPWRECK" rental unit, as part of that rental's theme. You will also see a traditional native American totem, eagle, fairy and many, many others. See if you can find them all interspersed throughout the resort!

GPS ALERT
For those of you with GPS units joining us for the first time; here's the scoop: Depending on the direction from which you are travelling, your GPS may direct you to our campground via a road that is steep and narrow. Although it is the shortest route it can be difficult for some larger RVs to traverse. The problematic road is Edwards Road. Instead, here are the directions that we recommend:
FROM EXIT 286 (Reading) at the PA Turnpike:
Turn right onto Route 272 North. Drive 1.5 miles to traffic light. Turn right onto Route 897 South. Travel 2 miles. Take the first left after you cross over the Turnpike, which is Lauschtown Road. Go 2.5 miles to Route 625 and follow the signs for Lake In Wood.
FROM EXIT 298 (MORGANTOWN) PA Turnpike:
Take Route 10 South to Route 23 West. Travel 7.5 miles to Route 625 North. Travel 4.5 miles to Oaklyn Drive. Travel 1 mile to Yellow Hill Road. Make right and drive 1.5 miles to Lake In Wood

 THE PIRATE INN
Our newest and most Unique Rental! The Pirate Inn is a brand new park model with a loft, decorated with a seafaring theme.  The front of the unit is designed with an actual ship's bow, mast, figurehead and anchor! The deck rails are beautifully carved, and you will love the parrot that is on guard at the entrance to your rental. The interior incudes a sea chest and other unique items that follow the same theme. The Pirate Inn sleeps mom, dad and 3 kids. We invite you to experience this unique rental! PLAYHOUSE
 Treat your little ones to a special stay in a real Playhouse, our newest rental. It is sized to sleep 2 children. The interior has 2 single bed-sized cushions and a rug for extra comfort and fun. When rented, it will be brought to your campsite! You can rent it for a minimum of 2 nights for $80.00. The 3rd and 4th nights are $35.00 each. The 5th and 6th nights are $30.00 each, and the 7th night is FREE! A one-week stay is $210.00.

 GNOME CAFÉ: UPDATED MENU & EXTENDED HOURS
Join our chefs, "Mike the Porkmeister" and "Larry the Grill Master" as they create their specialties for your delectatioin. Our new menu will delight you with its variety of terrific foods.  Let Vicki and Robin assist you with your choices. The café is now open 7 days a week during the summer and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as tasty snacks and soft ice cream delights.  These WORLD CLASS sites offer privacy in a lovely, wooded setting while revealing a beautiful view of the park's lake and the large, open field leading to it. They have full hookups with 50 amp service and include concrete pads and top-shelf, powder-coated picnic benches as well as a fire ring.
